Real-life drama for Guantanamo film stars - World - smh.com.au
By Vikram Dodd in LondonFebruary 22, 2006

FOUR actors who play al-Qaeda suspects in an award-winning British film were detained by police at London-Luton airport on their return from the Berlin Film Festival and questioned under anti-terrorism laws. Also interviewed were two of the former terrorism suspects they play on screen.

The men were returning to Britain last Thursday after the premiere of the film The Road to Guantanamo. It depicts the life of three men from Tipton, in England's West Midlands, who go to Afghanistan and end up being held for two years by the US at its military base in Cuba before being released without charge.

Ah, once again, we actors fall under the Cloud of Errantry. We are once again Rogues, Vagabonds and Sturdy Beggars. Masterless men and women to be singled out for our Trade.

It's a fucking MOVIE! I suppose if a Brit were playing a neo-nazi, they wouldn't be detained and ask if they were s ympathetic to National Socialism....
